I am assistant professor at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and a member of the CarMeN lab, a biomedical research laboratory in the fields of metabolic diseases, obesity, type 2 diabetes and their cardiovascular complications (myocardial infarction, stroke), kidney failure and dyslipidemia, in Lyon (France). I received my PhD in biochemistry from the University of Basel (Switzerland); my thesis was centered on the functional effects of Ryanodine Receptors type 1 mutations in some muscle disorders and realized in the group of Susan Treves. I have been a postdoctoral fellow in the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) with Prof. Beat Schwaller and then a member of the CGPhiMC in Lyon (France), in the team of Prof. Bruno Allard and Vincent Jacquemond.
